Umpiring
Players begin their introduction to umpiring from 12 years and above. We ask that all new players complete the Rules of Netball Theory Exam and participate in umpire practical training as well as volunteer umpiring for games to learn and become proficient. Belrose netball have developed a Bronze, Silver and Gold level pathway to umpiring.

Rules of Netball Theory Examination
The Rules of Netball Theory Examination tests the basic rules of the game. It is an online examination that is accessible all year. A pass mark of 70% or above is required and a certificate is generated for all candidates who achieve a pass. The most recent examination mark is the current result and results are valid for 4 years.
It is highly recommended that prior to commencing this exam you read a copy of the Rules of Netball which can be found under the Coaches and Umpires tab of our website.
The Netball Australia Umpire Accreditation System is an educational pathway based on Netball Australia Umpiring Courses (Foundation and Elite), ongoing professional development and practical umpiring instruction through an experienced umpire coach system.
